Welcome to the website of the National Fox & Tan Cavy Club. The UK's newest specialist cavy club, catering for all the recoginsed colours of the Fox, Tan & Otter Cavy.

 

The aim of the club is to promote the keeping, breeding and showing of these breeds along with providing enjoyment to its members through club shows & events, newsletters and of course this website.

 

The Fox & Tan breeds were introduced to the Cavy Fancy in 2000, at the Bradford Championship Show, and they have never looked back. They were received very well and quickly established themselves as one of the leading Rare Variety breeds on show. The breeds followed their roots and attained their highest honours to date at the Bradford Championship Shows of 2005, 2006 & 2007 when a Tan and two Foxes respectively won the title of Best Rare Variety.

 

In January 2008 the breeds took another massive leap and attained Full Standard Status and are now competing for the title of overall Best In Show. At the same time the Otter Cavy was awarded Guide Standard status and is already competing well in Rare Variety classes.
